Turrican Anthology collection announced for PS4 and Switch
As promised, during gamescom Opening Night Live, Strictly Limited Games and Factor 5 showed off a trailer for Turrican.
Turrican is coming back in time for its 30th anniversary, and we were given a look at what to expect today during gamescom Opening Night Live. This is not the remake some were hoping for, more of a remaster and a collection of the classic games.
Factor 5 is making two Turrican Anthology collections, with five games each. They're both coming to PS4 and Switch, priced €35 each. Volume 1 includes Turrican (Amiga), Turrican 2 (Amiga), Super Turrican (SNES), Super Turrican Director's Cut (SNES), and Mega Turrican Score Attack (Mega Drive/Genesis).
Volume 2 comes with Turrican 3 (Amiga), Mega Turrican (Mega Drive/Genesis), Mega Turrican Director's Cut (Mega Drive/Genesis), Super Turrican 2 (SNES), and Super Turrican Score Attack (Mega Drive/Genesis).
If you're looking to spend more, Strictly Limited is offering a Collector's Edition for €100, and an Ultra Collector's Edition for €200. All of that can be pre-ordered on the publisher's own store, but it doesn't look like the games will be available digitally.
The Turrican Anthology collection is expected to ship in February or March, 2021, according to the various store pages.
