Cyberpunk 2077 concept art reveals the crowded, smog-filled Santo Domingo district
Santo Domingo is one of the most Blade Runner-looking districts in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has dropped a new batch of concept art showing one of the districts in the game. After last week's wealthy playground Westbrook, this week we get to see a drastically different part of Night City.
Santo Domingo is a smog-covered, polluted area that corporations use to test industrial projects. "Corporations destroy old factories just to build new ones," CD Projekt Red wrote.
The crowded mega-towers in the distance are reminiscent of Judge Dredd. Fittingly, it's where the downtrodden reside. Even the colours are more muted there compared to the rest of Night City, with little neon cutting through.
For more on the intent behind the design of the different communities and how they're used in the game, check out our interview with senior concept artist Marthe Jonkers.
As fans patiently await Cyberpunk 2077, they've been imagining what their Witcher 3 heroes Yennefer, Ciri and, of course, Geralt could look like in the game's world.
Cyberpunk 2077 is out November 19. You can preorder it in the US from Amazon on PS4 and Xbox One. In the UK, Amazon has an exclusive edition that comes with three Night City postcards.
