Fallout: New Vegas mod The Frontier is coming to Steam
The years-in-development Fallout: The Frontier mod will soon be available on Steam.
Fallout: The Frontier is one of the oldest running Fallout: New Vegas mods. It has been in development since at least 2016, and it's coming to Steam.
The team behind The Frontier said the mod won't be standalone, meaning it will continue to require New Vegas. Unfortunately, no release date has been set. The takeaway from this is that running it may no longer require a mod manager, which makes it easier for players to jump in.
Fallout: The Frontier takes the story to snow-covered Portland, Oregon and brings its own characters, enemies, quests and new environments within Portland. There's also survival element to The Frontier with persistent weapon modding and other mechanics themed around surviving the harsh cold.
