Cyberpunk 2077 getting a comic focusing on the Trauma Team
Cyberpunk 2077's first comic book is in the works, with a killer cover to boot.
You may recall in the very first Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay trailer, the protagonist pulled an unconscious character out of a bathtub and immediately notified medics.
Except in Cyberpunk's grim world, the ambulance was a flying car that belonged to Trauma Team, a premium medical service. The arrival of these aggressive, gun-toting EMTs was one of the demo's highlights, and you'll soon be able to learn more about them ahead of the game's release.
Comic publisher Dark Horse is working on a four-issue limited run called Trauma Team. The book follows Nadia, an assistant EMT who works for Trauma Team International. Nadia was sent on a rescue mission with a team, but things turned bad as bullets started flying, leaving her as the only person standing.
"After she agrees to continue work for an upcoming extraction mission, Nadia and her new team find themselves in an even more dangerous and life-threatening situation," the synopsis goes on.
Trauma Team is written by Cullen Bunn of Uncanny X-Men fame, and illustrated by Giants' Miguel Valderrama. The first issue will be available beginning September 9 for $4. It also happens to have an awesome cover (above). You can find out more on Dark Horse's official site.
In other Cyberpunk 2077 news, the game has been delayed yet again, this time to November.
