The Last of Us Part 2's customisable difficulty lets you tweak how much damage Ellie takes

You will be able to tweak the difficulty in The Last of Us Part 2 to your liking.

The original The Last of Us was not an easy game, even on its default difficulty setting. In The Last of Us Part 2, developer Naughty Dog has taken a different approach to difficulty.

For starters, the ultra-challenging Survivor difficulty will be unlocked from the start. More interestingly, however, players will be able to fine tune any difficulty they choose.

Game Informer noted in a preview that you will be able to tweak things like how much damage Ellie takes, how alert enemies are, and even control the rate resources spawn in the world.

This is very good news, and it's all part of making the game accessible to more players. Naughty Dog is also tackling that from a different angle with the game's accessibility options. The developer added over 60 different of these for players to tweak, including the ability to navigate the world only by sound.

The Last of Us Part 2 is out June 19 on PS4.
