Battlefield 5 getting one last content update in June
One last content update will arrive in June for Battlefield 5.
DICE has announced it will cease updating Battlefield 5 with new content past summer.
According to the developer, it will release one last content pack for the game which is slated for June. The studio states it will include new content, weapons, and game tweaks.
Because the studio is facing challenges working from home due to COVID-19, the content may be pushed past June, but the devs will keep the community updated on its progress.
After the summer update, the base game will essentially go into maintenance mode, but you can still expect Weekly Rewards of Battlefield Currency or Company Coin so you can "unlock gear you may have missed."
Events and Activities are also planned, such as the reintroduction of Friday Night Battlefield servers. Also in the works is Throwback Thursdays, where the teams will "bring players together" across all of Battlefield titles.
DICE said it will continue to work on Community Games Updates and on Anti-cheat measures.
