World War Z coming to Switch, Game of the Year Edition announced
World War Z is coming to Switch, and a Game of the Year Edition has been announced for current platforms.
Switch owners will be able to jump into World War Z like their PC, PS4 and Xbox One brethren. It is currently in development for the console and is without a release date, via IGN.
In a separate press release issued today, Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive announced a Game of the Year Edition for PC on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will run you $49.99 or the regional equivalent.
It will include all DLC as well as a new PvE episode in Marseille. Images of the content are posted below.
The GotY Edition will be made available on May 5 and will include the following:
- New Episode - Three new PvE missions in the French city of Marseille with its own maps, story, and characters.
- Weapon Packs - The Lobo Weapon Pack, Biohazard Weapon Pack, Special Operations Forces Weapon Pack, new Last Aid Weapon Pack, plus one new upcoming weapon pack.
- Characters Packs - The Professionals Character Skin Pack and War Heroes Character Skin Pack.
Players also get access to a year’s worth of free content added since it released, including the wave-based Horde Mode Z, Xbox One-PC crossplay, weekly challenge mode, extreme six-skulls difficulty setting, and a new playable class with a unique skill tree and abilities, coming in a free update later this year.
