Nioh 2 reviews round-up, all the scores
Nioh 2 is days away, and the reviews are in.
Nioh 2 is the sequel to Team Ninja's feudal Japan-set action RPG. The sequel's story actually takes place prior to the events of the main game, set against the backdrop of Oda Nobunaga's quest.
One of the biggest new features in Nioh 2 is the character creator, which offers dense options with a tonne of granular detail for each. In Nioh 2, you don't play as any particular figure, which frees up the developer to implement some cool new additions.
Another major new mechanic in Nioh 2 is an upgrade to the player's demon powers. The protagonist is a half-Yokai, which means you get to call on these powers to counter enemy attacks, or turn into a demon for a few seconds. All weapons from the original Nioh return, including DLC additions like the Tonfa, and there are even two new arrivals in the hatches and switchglaive.
All in all, there's plenty to get excited about in Nioh 2, so let's see if this translates into positive reviews in our round-up below.
