PUBG's Vikendi map now has trains, comes back next season

PUBG's snow map, Vikendi, will return to the game soon with a number of major changes.

At the start of PUBG's Season 6, the developer introduced a new map, but not without taking away Vikendi.

The snow map had gone through several loot balance passes by that point, but PUBG Corp. decided to take it offline while it works on a larger overhaul. The time has now come to see what the team has been up to.

The new version of Vikendi will be playable as part of a limited test with PUBG Partners - streamers and other community members with specific access. Available Friday to Monday, the test will be accessible on the test server client.

The biggest new addition to the updated Vikendi is trains, complete with railroads all around the map. Trains can seemingly be boarded, as seen in the first footage.

Dinopark, one of Vikendi's most recognisable landmarks, has been expanded into Dinoland. Other locations, such as the abbey in Mount Kreznic, and Tovar have also been adjusted. The map's own terrain has received a few tweaks, too, with large areas of snow removed.

For now, jumping in a custom game hosted by one of the PUBG Partners is the only way to play the new version of Vikendi. The map will likely hit test servers properly at some point before the start of Season 7, however, which is when it officially returns.

Season 6 doesn't end until April 16, so expect more between now and then.
