Kojima Productions could be teasing Silent Hill announcement for this week

Kojima Productions is teasing some sort of announcement for this week, and it could be the Silent Hill news we've been waiting for.

A series of Tweets posted by Kojima Productions last week got the internet guessing about the sort of message hiding within them.

The Tweets feature an image of the studio's head of communications, Aki Saito, sitting at his desk. Saito is shown using a Pyramid-branded pencil, which, when combined with the word "silent" in the Tweet, makes a decent case for the announcement being Silent Hill-related.

Look closer, and you can even see "next week" written on the Saito's notepad.

Those Tweets were followed up today by another, equally mysteries Tweet from Kojima himself. Kojima's Tweet simply says March, and the included picture clearly shows a wall calendar with March 3 as the date. The original Silent Hill released March 4, 1999 in Japan, which has fans thinking this Tweet is also Silent Hill-related.

According to recent reports, Konami has two Silent Hill games in development. Seeing as Kojima previously expressed interest in working on horror games again, it's possible the two are back together on one of those games.

It's also possible that this is a Death Stranding teaser. Two weeks ago, Hideo Kojima dropped a 45-second trailer of the game in the style of the film 1917. Kojima could just be a fan of the film and made a video resembling it, but it could also be teasing the PC version or some sort of DLC.

Kojima Productions announced back in October 2019 that the game would be released for PC during summer 2020. Spring is almost here, which means summer is just around the corner, so it's possible we'll get a release date soon.
