The latest free update to Sea of Thieves is Crews of Rage

Rare announced the latest Sea of Thieves monthly update, Crews of Rage, is now available.

Xbox One, PC and Xbox Game Pass users can now enjoy the latest free update to Sea of Thieves.

Crews of Rage introduces new bounties, treasures, voyages and takes players back to Devil’s Roar from the Forsaken Shores update.

A new type of chest called Chests of Rage will be available, and the cursed things can explode and catch ships on fire. One can even be used as a weapon or trap against enemy crews.

The new Bounty Voyages will involve acquiring this new chest and using it against skeleton hordes. You will notice the skeletons in the Devil’s Roar region will have a new look. Called Ashen Skeletons, they cannot be destroyed by fire and will "make life trickier" for pirates that prefer to set things ablaze.

Molten Sands Fortress is the fort activity, and is also located in the Devil’s Roar. Here you will also find Ashen Tomes locked within an Ashen Chest which will contain special cosmetics.
