Activision Blizzard games removed from Nvidia GeForce Now due to a "misunderstanding"

Earlier this week, Activision Blizzard games were pulled from the Nvidia GeForce Now streaming platform, and now we know why it happened.

According to Bloomberg, the games were taken off Nvidia GeForce Now due to a request from Activision Blizzard. Apparently, the two companies never signed a formal commercial agreement for the games to be available on the service (thanks, resetera).

Nvidia said it was all a "misunderstanding" as it thought Activision's participation in the service's beta extended to the current trial period for founding members.

“Activision Blizzard has been a fantastic partner during the GeForce Now beta, which we took to include the free trial period for our founders membership,” said Nvidia.

“Recognizing the misunderstanding, we removed their games from our service, with the hope we can work with them to re-enable these, and more, in the future.”

Nvidia GeForce Now lets you stream games you already own from different PC libraries like Steam and UPlay to different devices.
