Final Fantasy 7 Remake timed exclusivity pushed back thanks to the delay
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake boxart has been updated.
Towards the end of the last year, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake boxart was officially finalised. Fans spotted a 'PlayStation Exclusive' sticker on the front that confirmed a one-year timed exclusivity for PS4.
With the game having now been delayed to April, the sticker has too been updated to reflect the new date. As spotted by Siliconera, the exclusivity period now ends April 10, 2021 - one year after its release on PS4.
Square Enix has yet to officially announce Final Fantasy 7 Remake for any other platform, but we expect it to at least be available on PC when the exclusivity ends.
As we approach the game's release, the publisher has been showing more and more of the remake. Most recently, we got our first look at the updated character designs for Red XIII, not to mention Cloud's cross-dressing moment.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out April 10 on PS4.
