Borderlands 3's Stadia version is 2 months out of date
Borderlands 3 is yet another Google Stadia release that isn't up to par.
Borderlands 3 launched on Stadia yesterday with a decent discount across all versions. Unfortunately, this isn't the most up-to-date build of the game available on other platforms.
Developer Gearbox confirmed that the Stadia build is from October 24, which is means it's nearly two-months-older than the most current version available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Things like the Mayhem 4 difficulty, Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite and even more friendly boss loot pools are not currently available in the Stadia version.
Gearbox did not explain why this disparity exists, but said that it aims "to achieve feature parity for all versions of Borderlands 3 early in 2020."
Over on Reddit, players are reporting a 4K 30fps experience, though others were able to get 60fps at 1080p when using the 'balanced' quality setting. This is more in line with games like Red Dead Redemption 2, which also switches up the framerate depending on the quality selected.
