GTA Online gets more Heists DLC at the Diamond Resort and Casino
Just when you thought you were out, they pull you back in.
GTA Online will get one more Heist, this time set at the recently opened Diamond Resort and Casino.
Starting December 12, you will be tasked with breaching the vault and taking revenge on the Duggan family. And you will also open up your own Arcade business as a front for your criminal activities.
Here's the blurb:
The Diamond Casino Heist is an all-new approach to Heist architecture and execution: one huge gameplay-packed operation as you work with the Cheng family to infiltrate the most secure building in all of Los Santos. Featuring a diverse range of opportunities for set-up and prep missions that shape your plan of attack, multiple paths of approach, constantly changing security measures and a dizzying array of choices once inside. Expect outcomes for you and your crew to change on the fly as you deal with each new situation, leading to more choices mid-mission. Even if the best laid plans go sideways, you’ll have the opportunity to keep the mission afloat without failing by shooting your way out with your remaining team lives, all allowing the Heist to be highly replayable with new scenarios unfolding each time.
Heist crew leaders will set up a new commercial venture as a front, a retro Arcade business, and here is where the Heist operations are staged and rehearsed. While the business runs above, below you will be hacking keypads or cracking vault doors, store equipment and getaway vehicles. Owners of existing businesses can add a Master Control Terminal to handle all current operations.
More information on the Heist is promised at launch.
Heists are GTA Online's big payout jobs, requiring a team of four players to get together and complete a robbery over a series of objectives. Players have to decide how to split the cash, and they usually have to front-up a wedge of moolah to kick things off. We hope you've been saving.
There are six Heists in GTA Online, escalating in cost, danger and payout. You have to complete them in order before you can get to the really big score.
The Fleeca Job, The Prison Break, The Humane Labs Break, Series A Funding and The Pacific Standard were all released in 2015 after multiple delays. The Doomsday Heist was added in 2017.
Rockstar teased a new Heist yesterday, with the return of Lester, and a blueprint for the casino vault.
