The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan owners get a free friend pass starting today
Owners of the interactive horror game Man of Medan will receive one free Friend's Pass in a limited-time offer that runs until January 6, 2020.
Those of you who already own the interactive horror game Man of Medan - the first installment in Supermassive Games' The Dark Pictures Anthology - will be able to invite a pal too complete the game's Shared Story multiplayer mode. The announcement came today from publisher Bandai Namco following the game's latest update.
Here's how if you're playing on PlayStation 4: You'll both need a PS Plus account to play, and to receive the invite your Man of Medan-less friend will be required to download the trial version of the game available through the PS Store. Likewise, the owner of the full game will need to have the latest version of Man of Medan in order to invite them. Once all that is sorted, you just navigate to Shared Story mode via the main menu to send out your invite. The Friend's Pass is one-time use only. Once it's consumed it's no longer available.
It's the same story for Xbox One users - although both of you will require an Xbox Live Gold membership. And if you're on PC, Steam has a nice breakdown of how to invite your bud.
Also now free to download is the official Curator's Cut - an alternate version of events from Man of Medan which was previously only available as a pre-order exclusive.
Man of Medan launched in August for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We gave the game a score of 3 out of 5 - "Personally, I’m genuinely excited for future Dark Pictures instalments," said Phil at the time. "And I’m still playing Man of Medan, figuring out its hidden traps and machinations, despite my frustrations with it."
