Red Dead Redemption 2 update will address stuttering issues on PC

A Red Dead Redemption 2 update will roll out today to address stuttering issues on PC.

Rockstar announced it may have found the culprit behind some of the stuttering issues players have encountered with Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.

According to the developer, the problem stems from "unforeseen issues" related to specific combinations of Nvidia graphics drivers, Nvidia GPU cards and certain CPU’s.

Today's patch aims to fix some of the stuttering issues and it will also contain a "host of other fixes."

Because the studio is working with Nvidia, the stuttering issue should be completely resolved in a future update. Rockstar said it will continue to test everything to ensure the next update completely solves the problem.

The team will continue to look into other issues reported and suggests players contact Rockstar Support with any problems they have with the game.

To make up for the problems at launch, all PC users who play the game this week and through to the holiday season will receive a complimentary care package for Red Dead Online that includes the Prieto Poncho and an assortment of provisions and ammo.
