Death Stranding reviews round-up, all the scores
You don't have to wait any longer to find out what Death Stranding is and whether years of hype have been worth it.
Death Stranding is Hideo Kojima's first game as an independent creator, having left Konami and struck out on his own nearly four years ago. To say that people have been looking forward to his next project would be an understatement.
After years of visually stunning trailers that revealed little about the game, Kojima finally blew the doors wide open at TGS in September. Death Stranding is an action-adventure game about reconnecting post-apocalypse USA by delivering items and helping bring people together across the country.
Death Stranding features a form of asynchronous multiplayer Kojima calls the Strand System that allows players to help each other by leaving ladders, ropes and supplies behind. You'll be able to pick up cargo others couldn't carry, and follow in their footsteps in some cases. None of these online features require PS Plus, too, which is good.
Death Stranding was only just announced for PC, due out in 2020. All the reviews below are of the PS4 version.
