King Gothalion is leaving Twitch for Mixer
King Gothalion, the well-known Destiny streamer, is ditching Twitch for Mixer.
Cory "King Gothalion" Michael has become the third high-profile streamer to leave Twitch for Microsoft's Mixer, following in Shroud and Ninja's footsteps.
Though Gothalion is not nearly as big of a name compared to the other two superstars, he's consistently among the most popular Destiny streamers. When he's not playing Bungie's loot shooter, Gothalion also streams other games such as Borderlands.
The streamer broke the news on Twitter, confirming that his first stream on Mixer will take place tomorrow, October 29 at 8am ET. In the announcement video, he said Mixer will allow him to mentor more up-and-coming streamers, and raise more money for charity through the events he organises.
As well as his professional streaming career, Michael is also director of content at Gaming Community Expo, a Florida convention that evolved from Destiny fan event GuardianCon, which he also co-organised.
Gothalion leaves behind over a million followers on Twitch, though his Mixer channel already has nearly 26,000 followers. As is often the case with these big moves, subscriptions are currently free for a limited time on his new channel.
