Ken Levine's new game is an immersive sim
A job listing for Ken Levine's new studio seems to indicate the Bioshock creator's next game is an immersive sim.
Ghost Story Games, formerly known as Irrational Games, is working on an immersive sim. This is according to a job listing for a cinematic narrative scripter.
The listing notes potential candidates will be working on a "creatively ambitious project in the immersive sim genre." Those with experience in "designing shooters," and/or "action RPGs" is a plus.
In December 2015, Levine's studio was hiring for someone with open-world, first-person shooter experience. Today's listing appears to suggest the immersive sim will contain shooter elements.
Previously, the Bioshock creator said his next game wouldn’t have a linear narrative, would possibly have a “sci-fi” vibe, and would be large in scope. It will also apparently be "more challenging" than Bioshock.
