Anyone can get a free month of Origin Access by enabling multi-factor authentication on their EA account
EA is offering users willing to enable multi-factor authentication a free month of Origin Access.
EA has announced that anyone with an EA account can get a free month of Origin Access Basic by simply enabling login verification on their account. Login verification is essentially EA's multi-factor authentication.
Enabling it makes it harder for anyone that isn't you to gain access to your account because you're adding extra steps to the process anytime you log in from a new PC/browser. You'll still need your username and password, but enabling the feature also adds a unique code EA will email/text you that needs to be used to log in.
If you enable the feature anytime this month, you'll automatically receive a free month of Origin Access Basic beginning November 1. Those already subscribed to the service's monthly option won't be charged in November. Origin Access Premier members will also get a free month.
In fact, this also applies to users who already have the feature enabled on their accounts. If you do not yet, be sure to set it up before October 31, and check out the FAQ page for full details.
