Medievil Remake demo now available for a limited time on PS4

Sony has released a demo for Medievil Remake, and it's only available until October 7.

The demo for Medievil Remake leaked a bit early today before Sony had a chance to announce it during its State of Play episode.

Fans of Sir Daniel can download the demo from today until October 7 at 12am local time. That's why it's called the Short-Lived demo.

While you are playing, keep an eye out for the Dan’s Helmet item. This is a piece of armor that appeared in the Japanese version of the original PS One title.

Picking up Dan’s Helmet early in the demo will reward you with an extra challenge when equipped in the full game upon release.

Medievil Remake releases for PS4 on October 25.

Original story follows.

It looks like Sony was prepping to drop a big Medievil Remake surprise today that has been somewhat spoiled.

Medievil Remake, which is due out this October, has had its demo leak briefly on the Japanese PlayStation Store. The page has since been taken down, but not before Reddit user nolifebr and others spotted it.

According to Resetera members, the demo clocks in at 11.6GB and includes access to Dan's Crypt and The Graveyard levels. Expect footage to emerge soon, though Sony may decide to take them down until the demo has been released officially.

Considering the timing of this release, it's very possible Sony plans to announce and release the demo at today's State of Play show.

We'll keep you updated.
