Destiny 2: last chance to transfer your Battle.net PC account to Steam
We're close to one week away from the launch of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep.
As you may have heard, the launch of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep headlines a new era for Destiny 2. For one, the game is ditching Blizzard's Battle.net entirely for Steam on PC.
Now that Activision is no longer Destiny's publisher, Bungie is free to pick which platform Destiny 2 PC will continue to live on in the future. This is why the game is no longer available for sale on PC, which also means you should hurry up and transfer your account if you haven't done so already.
There are a couple of things you need to do. First, log in to Destiny 2 on your PC to make sure your Silver (paid currency) balance carries over to Steam. You don't need to do this if you don't have any Silver, or if the amount you have is so small it doesn't matter. To keep your Silver, log in before October 1.
Transferring your account from Battle.net to Steam is easy, and it will allow you to continue playing on Steam come October 1. You get to keep all your purchased content, and all your character progress across the entire account. Even if you don't plan to purchase Shadowkeep, you'll be able to continue playing what you own of Destiny 2 on Steam.
We've prepared a step-by-step guide on how to set up cross-save and migrate your account. This guide also works for PS4 and Xbox One players, but PC players need to get this done before the game is removed from Battle.net.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and Destiny 2: New Light launch October 1 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
