Call of Duty: Modern Warfare campaign footage coming end of the month, Spec Ops in October
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward has given us an idea of when the game's next reveals will take place.
The official Call of Duty Twitter account has published some interesting information about upcoming Modern Warfare reveals. Though it lacks strict dates, the tweet at least lets fans know when they can expect to hear new information.
It all kicks off the week of September 16, which is when we're going to learn more about the game's cross-play support. Most of these details - such as the issue of controllers vs keyboard and mouse - were discussed in interviews over the past few months, so Infinity Ward could just be talking about a single article to round up all confirmed details.
The next Modern Warfare reveal will focus on the campaign, coming at the end of September. Outside of the game's reveal trailer, we've not seen a single second of footage from the story campaign. It's not clear if this will end up being just another trailer, or something more interesting, such as a mission playthrough.
Then, the week of October 7, we'll finally get to see Modern Warfare's Spec Ops co-op mode. Spec Ops is even more mysterious than the game's campaign, having only been mentioned in passing. We still don't know what shape it'll take, how many players it supports and so on.
And, in case you missed it, Modern Warfare is hosting two beta weekends, with the first - a PS4-exclusive - kicking off September 12.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out October 25 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
