Hearthstone's next solo campaign begins September 17
Hearthstone's Saviors of Uldum expansion is getting a new solo campaign on September 17.
Tombs of Terror, as the single-player campaign is called, is the second chapter in the Saviors of Uldum story arc, and direct sequel to the previous campaign The Dalaran Heist. The solo adventure is fully voice-acted, and stars the League of Explorers - adventurous archaeologists who have come to explore the ruins of Uldum, with the aim of taking down four Plague Lords intent on destruction.
"We've always carried a torch for the classic dungeon crawl and with Tombs of Terror, we set out to create our deepest and most replayable Solo Adventure yet," says Blizzard president J. Allen Brack in a prepared statement. "With so many new deckbuilding options to unlock for the dual-class heroes and all of the signature treasures to acquire, we hope players love exploring the Tombs of Terror again and again."
This chapter introduces "dual class heroes," with each of the four heroes taking on cards from two different classes. Night Elf librarian Elise Starseeker will combine the abilities of a Priest and a Druid, dinosaur tamer Brann Bronzebeard is both a Hunter and a Warrior, magic Murloc Finley Mrrglton is a Paladin and a Shaman, and Relicologist Reno Jackson is Mage and Rogue.
With the completion of each chapter in the campaign, players will get three Saviours of Uldum card packs - 15 packs total. Once you've finished all three chapters, you'll unlock a folden classic card pack with unique card backs for those who complete on normal or heroic difficulty.
If you missed the campaign's first chapter, fear not. Come September 17, that will be available for free. Three additional chapters are slated to release in the coming weeks for 700 in-game gold, or as part of a $14.99 USD bundle.
