Monster Hunter World ships 13 million, Capcom giving away free stuff in-game
Monster Hunter World continues to ship new units, and Capcom is once again celebrating alongside fans.
Capcom has today announced that Monster Hunter World has now shipped 13 million units on all platforms, worldwide since its introduction in January last year.
This major new milestone puts World further ahead of all other games in Capcom's catalogue as far as sales. The closest, by Capcom's own estimates, is Resident Evil 5 at 7.5 million copies.
As it tends to do, the publisher is celebrating by offering all players a special item pack. This freebie will be available to anyone who logs in on any platform between July 25 and August 29.
Monster Hunter World players should be familiar with the daily login bonus system, and this new pack will be delivered in the same way. It includes one Attack Jewel, 13 Appreciation Tickets, 13 Silver Eggs, three Gold Wyvern Print, and three Heavy Armor Spheres.
Until then, Monster Hunter World players on PC can tinker with the new Nvidia DLSS support, which is available now as part of the game's latest patch.
