Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch

An HD version of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is heading to consoles and PC.

After the Taiwanese rating board recently revealed that a new Super Monkey Ball game is in development, the game has now been officially announced by Sega.

Earlier today, the weekly issue of Famitsu provided full details on the new Super Monkey Ball, and the magazine's official blog shared the first few bits of information and images.

Sega has since shared additional information, and confirmed the game for the west.

As the magazine's description suggested, it's not an entirely new game, rather a remake of the 2006 Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, a Wii exclusive.

When released, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD will feature updated graphics and optimized control schemes for each platform. It will also feature a new mini-game Decathalon mode where you complete a set of 10 mini-games in a row, and online leaderboards.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD releases October 29 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for £34.99. Physical pre-orders are now available and a Steam release is planned for this winter.

Below is a list of features per Sega.
