Keanu Reeves plays a major character in Cyberpunk 2077, with a line count that rivals protagonist's
Keanu Reeves' role in Cyberpunk 2077 is more than a simple cameo.
Now that we've had time to recover from the momentous reveal of Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, it's time to get to some of the important details.
Reeves' role as Silverhand in the game is curcial. In fact, he'll accompany the player for almost the entirety of the game. He's not a companion NPC, more like a phantom in protagonist V's head.
Because of this, Keanu Reeves recorded a lot of dialogue for the game. In fact, according to CD Projekt RED CEO Marcin Iwinski, it's the second biggest volume of spoken lines in Cyberpunk 2077, just behind the main character. It took Reeves and the team 15 days to record the entire script.
Iwinski revealed this and more during a chat with Geoff Keighley at the E3 Coliseum. You can watch the full conversation below:
Cyberpunk 2077 is out April 16 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
