Red Dead Online's new showdown mode is here

Rockstar detailed its weekly update for Red Dead Online in a blog post today, revealing a new Showdown Mode and new duds in the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue.

This week's Showdown Mode is called Sport of Kings. As per the blog post:

"Battle on horseback to secure the burning torch and ride through all your team's signal fires to score..." Sport of Kings involves two teams and four to eight players, armed with sawed-off shotguns and rare single-shot dynamite bow pickups that appear on either side of the torch.

There are new clothing items in the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue this week, including the Strung Sombrero, hand-cut leather Gibbston Pants, and the all-black variant of the Chuparosa Poncho.

Lastly, Rockstar says that all activities receive a 30% XP boost this week. You can read the full patch notes here. Read Dead Online added poker in a recent update, and the game will soon be out of beta.
