Warhammer: Chaosbane's story trailer sets the stage for hacking and slashing
Warhammer: Chaosbane is the first hack-and-slash dungeon crawler set in the Warhammer fantasy universe. A new story trailer pulls back the curtain on the conflict at the game's heart.
Kul, the champion of the Chaos hordes, takes advantage of a civil war waging between kingdoms and strikes at them with his army of monsters. Luckily, a warrior named Magnus the Pious unifies the feuding factions and defeats Kul during a battle outside the walls of Praag. Magnus becomes emperor.
At the start of Warhammer: Chaosbane, though, a witch infiltrates the city and curses Magnus. Players choose from one of four classes – a soldier, mage, dwarf slayer, or wood elf – and embark on a journey to break the curse before the forces of Chaos thrust the world into war once again.
Warhammer: Chaosbane evokes the spirit of Diablo in many ways – from its loot system to its deep and nuanced character progression systems. It launches on June 4 for PC. Watch some gameplay here.
