The Last of Us Part 2 approaches final stages of development
Naughty Dog is seemingly in the final push on The Last of Us Part 2's development.
Though Sony hasn't issued any official updates about The Last of Us Part 2 since last year's big E3 demo, developers at Naughty Dog have been hinting at development having entered the final stage for a while now.
Game director Neil Druckmann recently confirmed that the game's final scene has been shot, and we now have co-director Anthony Newman saying the team is "closing out" the game.
Newman tweeted a list of job openings at Naughty Dog, some of them temporary positions, required to help Naughty Dog in this final push. Though the developer obviously doesn't say if the game is targeting release this year or next, it's fair to say development has entered a critical stage.
With Sony skipping E3 this year, the game is likely going to get a reveal of some kind in the coming months to hype it up once again, but the timing of that will likely depend on Naughty Dog's estimate of the release date.
