Transistor is a free download through the Epic Games Store until May 2
The isometric RPG Transistor is currently available as a free download on the Epic Games Store.
The second title from Bastion developer SuperGiant Games, Transistor is available free through the Epic Games Store now until May 2.
Transistor is a science-fiction RPG with rather great isometric combat jumping between fast-paced, real-time actions and a more methodical, strategic approach using the paused planing mode "Turn". It also has a nice score, and the art style is superb - in our opinion anyway.
In the game, you play a singer named Red who has gone mute. The voice you hear comes from the Transistor, a sword-like weapon.
Red was set to be assassinated, and after pulling The Transistor from a dead man, finds his consciousness, voice and her voice absorbed into the sword.
We won't give away more of the plot, because you really need to play it for yourself. Grab it off the Epic Games Store here for PC and Mac.
Released in 2014, Transistor has sold over one million copies and is also available for PS4, Switch, Linux, and iOS.
