The Division 2 map features glitched steps that can help or hinder you

Players are reporting a map obstruction floating around near the Ivy Tunnel.

The glitched part of the map is a floating square smack dab at the top of a staircase near the Ivy Tunnel control point that players have been reporting on Reddit, via Kotaku.

The untextured square is invisible from the top, but you can see how it's blocking the path along the stairs in redditor u/jmxd's video below.

While it poses as an obstruction when going up the stairs, players have discovered that they can still come down the steps by rolling off the square.

The issue has been reported on the official Ubisoft forums, and appears to be plaguing both PC and Xbox One players. No one in the subreddit has made mention of spotting it on PS4 just yet.

There's an alternative route if you can't take the stairs, so all is not lost. Although some commentors have reported that they ran into the glitch when running away from enemies, which went about as well as you'd imagine, while others have used it to their advantage in combat, as the NPCs can't get past it either.
