The Division 2: Fixing the skills bug is the "highest priority"
The annoying bug in The Division 2 that isn't letting players deploy their skills is still an issue in the game, but the devs say it's at the top of their list to fix.
The bug is infuriating - especially if you're playing solo as I sometimes do, along with this poor bugger on Reddit. It was discovered last week and causes deployed skills to have a much shorter duration than they would usually.
I've been using the turret and seeker mine, and have noticed that the issue has been getting progressively worse, to the point where both skills are disappearing into the ether barely seconds after deployment. Other players are also reporting an increase in skills playing silly buggers.
Earlier today, Ubisoft community developer Chris Gansler addressed the problem, saying, "This is our highest priority right now and we understand how incredibly frustrating it can be. I died to it yesterday as well, I feel your pain.
"As pointed out already here in the thread, fixing this issue is something we want to do right to not include more bugs with it. That means it's taking a bit longer than we want but the dev team is hard at work to fix this. We're also planning to add other fixes to that patch, which hopefully will have a positive impact for everybody."
The community isn't happy, with players stating that the bug is making the end game unplayable, and giving up playing altogether.
It's a pretty big deal given that the game has only been out for a few days, and the bug is crippling a key game mechanic.
Ubisoft released a patch over the weekend to address a different bug that was causing issues with the Castle Settlement, but some players are still reporting having trouble with it.
The Ubisoft official forum support team have said that they are “continuing to investigate this and we will give another update as soon as one is available.”
