Devil May Cry 5 reviews round-up, all the scores
Devil May Cry 5, the first mainline entry in the venerable series in years, is very close.
Luckily, you'll find plenty of reviews, and impressions to read today to help you decide if it's been worth all the wait.
Devil May Cry 5 brings back classic protagonists Nero, and Dante. Nero is the main hero this time around, and he's enlisted the help of Nico - a new character whose creations will come in handy throughout the game. The game also has a third playable character.
Simply called V, our goth new hero plays completely differently from the mainstay hot boys. V is a ranged character that relies almost entirely on his summons to defeat demons, making for some unique gameplay.
Outside of its killer looks, you can expect plenty of new features in Devil May Cry 5. One in particular that's sure to generate a lot of discussion in the coming days is the cameo system; a form of multiplayer. As you play, you'll come across ghosts of other players who have been in area. In some cases, you'll even see them fighting the same monster in real time.
Devil May Cry 5 also features microtransactions. Red Orbs, which you'll naturally receive over the course of play, can also be bought for real-world money. Red Orbs are used to purchase upgrades, abilities, and even revives.
If you're new to the series, Capcom helpfully created a handy recap of all mainline events so far, which you should watch before jumping in. And, if you're an Nvidia GPU owner, download the new drivers here.
