Tetris 99 - out today for Nintendo Switch Online members
The iconic puzzle game Tetris is back in a new competitive online experience.
Tetris 99 is a 99-player Tetris royale where players compete to be the last one standing. It was announced during the Nintendo Direct stream last night and is now free to download Nintendo Switch Online members.
To make things more challenging, you and other you opponents can send Garbage Blocks to one another, and you can acquire KO badges that could give you a tactical advantage as the match progresses.
Nintendo has also said that there are upcoming online events planned for Tetris 99, so perhaps we’ll see seasons or in-game events like we do in other battle royale titles.
