Watch a clever Apex Legends player trap an entire squad with Caustic

Caustic is one of the more difficult and situational characters in Apex Legends, but with a bit of planning, you can achieve great results with him.

Caustic is a trapper, so you're naturally going to have to think a couple of steps ahead if you want to use him effectively. But you don't have to use his tools in the way designers intended, as this clip from Twitch streamer 1cePrime shows.

Caustic's tactical ability is the Nox Gastrap, which lets him place gas canisters anywhere in the world. These can be shot or triggered by unsuspecting players for massive damage. 1cePrime realised that these canisters can also be used to block doors.

And so, a devious idea was born. After deciding to set up a trap for another squad, 1cePrime waited until they were all in the room and used his canisters to block both exists. He made sure to leave a small gap, big enough for a Nox Gas Grenade - Caustic's ultimate ability, and everyone watched as the gas filled the room, killing the three hapless players in seconds.

Certainly some creative use of Caustic, and though this tactic may not always work, you can see how satisfying it feels when it does in his reaction.
