Conqueror's Blade closed beta test begins with access to huge open world
Medieval tactical war sim Conqueror's Blade has begun its closed beta test, opening the castle walls for players to explore and expand their armies across the game's open world.
Players can leave the city walls of the previous beta behind and march out across the land to dominate and conquer the map. As well as growing and building armies, players will also learn how to manage an army and the costs of war. To increase the scale of Conqueror's Blade, siege weapons can now be crafted and new units recruited to player armies.
Players will fight over mines and other resources, as well as take over villages, towns, castles and land, while strengthening the walls of their own cities to defend their House against aggression.
In Conqueror's Blade, players take on the role of a warlord, specialised in a specific combat style and weapon. Players build up a representation and career through quests, eventually becoming a mercenary in charge of their own army, attacking and defending houses. Players can opt to become a member of one particular house, or if they have enough money, create their own House.
The previous beta for Conqueror's Blade kept all the action within city walls, but this new closed beta finally unlocks the doors to the wider open world.
The closed beta for Conqueror's blade is available until February 15 for players who purchase a founder's pack.
