For Honor Year 3's first new hero of 2019 is Vortiger the Black Prior

Here's a look at the first of four new heroes coming to For Honor this year.

For Honor Year 3 kicks off soon, and today Ubisoft provided a look at one of the new heroes: Vortiger the Black Prior.

Vortiger is a heavy class of Knight that likes to bash opponents with a giant kite shield and off them with a longsword.

The Black Prior Vortiger will be available for all Year 3 Pass holders on January 31. Those without a pass can unlock him on February 7 for 15,000 Steel.

The For Honor Year 3 Pass is priced $30 and it includes: early access to all new heroes, 30 days of Champion Status, five Scavenger Crates, and an exclusive Thunderbolt and Frightening hero effect.

Maps and modes will be accessible by all players for free at launch. This includes the new Dominion map, Harbor, which releases January 31.

Updates are also in the works for Shugoki, Warlord, and Peacekeeper. More information on changes coming to these heroes will be provided at a later date.
