Bethesda's parent company trademarks Deathloop

Deathloop is a potential name of a new in-development game, trademarked by Bethesda's parent company Zenimax.

Zenimax filed for the Deathloop trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office on December 26.

The trademark was filed mainly under general mobile games and services, and online-enabled mobile software. Assuming this is the only trademark being filed under that name, it's safe to assume we're looking at a game for phones and tablets.

It's hard to say for sure, but it's possible this is another future Bethesda title. The name doesn't give anything away, but a death loop is generally what you'd refer to in-game bugs or poor checkpoints that cause the player to spawn and die repeatedly.

There's also the possibility Zenimax is just ensuring ownership of the name without necessarily having a game in active development. Perhaps Deathloop is one of a few names being thrown around that Zenimax decided to secure.

Until we find out more, you can check out the full description at the link above.

Thanks, Gamespot.
