Crash Team Racing remaster getting unveiled at The Game Awards this week - report

Activision has been dropping a few teasers for a Crash Team Racing remaster, and it looks like the official reveal is happening this week.

Throughout the week, Activision has been sending out packages to influencers, and games media people that hint at some impending Crash-related announcement. The publisher did this prior to the reveal of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, sending out Spyro eggs.

In this case, some received cookies, while others, such as PlayStation Access' Hollie Bennett, were sent a much less subtle hint with this pair of fuzzy dice. Orange is Crash's colour, and there's a big emphasis on sliding - something you do a lot of in cart racers.

According to Eurogamer, Activision will officially announce the Crash Team Racing remaster this week. The Game Awards takes place this week, of course, and we can't think of a bigger event to drop the announcement.

Crash Team Racing, like the original Crash trilogy, was a PlayStation exclusive. Seeing as how Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy eventually made its way to PC, Xbox One, and Switch, it's logical to suggest the same will be true for Crash Team Racing. It's likely going to be exclusive to PS4 for a while, though.
