Star Wars: Battlefront 2 quietly joins EA Access
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has joined the EA Access vault, according to reports.
Many players woke up this morning to find Star Wars: Battlefront 2 included in the EA Access vault on Xbox One. An official announcement has yet to be made, but the game's Microsoft Store page confirms it's indeed part of the subscription.
Battlefront 2 launched in November last year, which means it took the game the usual year to be part of the service. EA games typically end up as part of EA Access nine to 12 months from launch, with sports games getting added sooner than most.
As of this writing, the same is not true for Origin Access. The game's Origin store page only refers to the fact it's included with Origin Access Premier, the higher tier subscription which includes access to most EA games.
In fact, not all EA Access members on Xbox One are able to freely download it just yet, as it seems it's being rolled out in stages.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 received a big update this week that added the promised Geonosis location, Obi-Wan as a playable hero and much more. With all the recent updates to the game, and ones yet to come in 2019, now seems like a good time for it to be included in EA Access.
We'll update this story when EA officially announces the news.
