Call of Duty Companion App is out now, gets you 500 COD Points for downloading
Activision has released a new Call of Duty Companion App for Black Ops 4, and WW2 players.
The Call of Duty Companion App is available on Android, and iOS. The app lets you access a wide range of match and player statistics, but also has a few social features.
For starters, the news section will get you up to speed on all the latest in-game events, and patch notes. You'll also be able to create squads of up to 20 players within the app, which adds another layer of progression.
Your squad will receive weekly objectives and challenges, which award exclusive in-game items when completed. You'll get to compare your stats against those of your squad mates', and find out when they're playing.
The Call of Duty Companion App has shades of the old Call of Duty Elite service, offering personalised stats and and performance reports based on your playtime. This extends to things like heat maps and other analysis data, and it'll even offer suggestions for how you can improve.
It supports both Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Call of Duty: WW2. This includes all multiplayer modes in both games, even Zombies. If you download it now and sign in with your Call of Duty account, you'll receive 500 COD Points.
Since COD Points only just launched on PS4, it may take a little bit for them to show up in your balance. Of course, if you're playing on PC, or Xbox One, you'll have to wait until COD Points go live on your platform next week.
