Destiny 2: Forsaken - Heroic Tangled Shore public events
The Tangled Shore is one of two new destinations in Destiny 2: Forsaken.
Like every destination in Destiny 2, the Tangled Shore has its own set of recurring public events. In this case, we have the Cryo-Pod, and Ether Ritual events.
Every public event in Destiny 2 has a more challenging Heroic version, and the same is true for Tangled Shore. You can unlock the heroic versions of these events if you follow certain steps and complete hidden objectives as you play them, and that's what we're about to explain.
How to activate heroic Cryo-Pod Defenders public event
When you reach the point in the event where the boss fight starts after they exit their cryo-pod, pay attention to the damage phases. At a certain point, the area around the boss will start getting covered with freezing gas. When this happens, look for vents on either side of the pod.
These vents are what's emitting the gas, and there are two of them on each side of the pod. If you shoot them as they're emitting steam, they'll drop orbs which you can then use against the boss to freeze them. You'll need to do this a couple of times, which will eventually trigger the heroic version of the event.
It's critical that you do not kill the boss before this happens, as not shooting the vents in time will not upgrade the event to its heroic version. Once the boss has been frozen, you'll need to defend it from enemy waves until they've been teleported out.
How to activate heroic Ether Ritual Investigation public event
In this event, every time you kill one of the Chieftains, a torrent of Ether (light -purple pockets) will begin to head towards the destroyed Servitor at the centre of the public event.
Your goal is simple: destroy the Ether before it reaches the middle. You'll need to do this for each Chieftain, so take care not to let any Ether escape. Shooting the Ether is relatively easy if everyone participating in the fight knows to look for them.
The Baron Returns heroic portion will only be triggered if you manage to prevent the Ether from reaching the destroyed Servitor. Now, all that's left to do is destroy remaining enemies.
You can also check out the video above for an idea of what to look for in both events.
