Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 gets January release date, pre-order betas announced

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 has been given a January release date, but you won't have to wait until then to play it.

Focus, and Tindalos have announced that Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is launching on January 24 on PC. Prior to released, the developer will be hosting two beta phases.

Both betas are available only to players who pre-order, and they include a fair bit of content. The first pre-order beta is scheduled to go live sometime in early December. This multiplayer-focused test will include all 12 factions and the entire multiplayer package.

This means multiplayer progression, skirmish, 1v1, 2v2, and custom games will all be accessible. The developer intends to take feedback on board.

Then, in January, the second beta will kick off. This test will be available all the way until the game's January 24 launch. All content from the first beta will be available. Beta 2 will also feature single-player content such as the campaign prologue, and the first sectors of two campaigns.

For reference, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 will launch with three story campaigns. Ship building is another feature the second beta will showcase.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is currently available to pre-order on Steam for 10% off the standard $40 price. Owners of the original game will get an even deeper discount, at 25%.
