Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 more anticipated than Red Dead Redemption 2 this holiday - survey
The latest survey from Nielsen suggests Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the most anticipated game this holiday season.
According to a survey conducted by Nielsen Game Rank, the most anticipated game going into the holiday shopping season is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
The latest entry in the franchise topped the multiplatform segment with a score of 99, followed closely by Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 with a score of 97.
Battlefield 5 and Fallout 76 also fared well on the anticipation scale, coming in at third and fourth place, respectively. Assassin's Creed Odyssey, released last week, followed.
Other highly anticipated multiplatform titles are as follows: Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Hitman 2, FIFA 19, NBA Live 19, NBA 2K19, and WWE 2K19.
In the platform exclusive segment, Nielsen Game Rank found Sony's Spider-Man and Xbox One's Forza Horizon 4 were two highly anticipated titles. Folks are also looking forward to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Party, and the Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Eevee titles.
The games included on Nielsen Game Rank list are those with current "higher levels of anticipation across the broader body of gamers overall," according to the firm. The data was collected via survey with 6,000 participants.
