Jump Force release window and closed beta announced alongside new characters

Several new details for Jump Force were announced today including new characters, a closed beta, season pass content, and a release window.

Bandai Namco announced several new details today for Jump Force, the anime fighting game featuring Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto and other popular characters.

Four additional characters were announced for Jump Force: Yusuke and Toguro from the classic manga Yu Yu Hakusho; Kirua and Kurapika from Hunter X Hunter.

But that's not the end of it. Four story characters designed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama will also be included in the game. These characters are: Director Glover, Navigator, Galena, and Kane. Each character is featured in the trailer below.

These characters join Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist Yugi Muto, who was announced last week.

A new real-world stage has also been unveiled, the Himeji Castle. One of the most famous landmarks in Japan, the castle is one of the locations which will be used as a fighting arena.

Season Pass adds nine new characters to the game’s lineup. These characters will also be made available as separate purchases.

A Jump Force Collector’s Edition will be available, and it comes with a diorama statue featuring Naruto, Luffy, and Goku.

The Collector’s Edition will include:

  • A copy of the game
  • Season Pass
  • 30cm Diorama of Naruto, Luffy and Goku
  • Jump Force Steel Book
  • Three 28x28cm Art Boards

Those who pre-order any version of the game will also receive a new lobby vehicle, as well as three exclusive avatar costumes.
