The Walking Dead's Negan is coming to Tekken 7

Tekken 7 dropped a couple of big announcements at the EVO 2018 fighting game tournament over the weekend.

At EVO 2018, Namco announced that Tekken 7 is getting a second season of content. Six new characters will be joining Tekken 7's roster as part of the new season, with a new season pass to be made available at a later date.

The biggest and most unexpected announcement is of course The Walking Dead's villain, Negan. The baseball bat-wielding brute is coming to Tekken 7. This is the version seen on AMC's show, and it appears to be voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan - the actor who portrays Negan.

The reveal trailer sadly doesn't offer a release date, or show off any gameplay of Negan, but it's still one hell of an announcement. Two more characters were also revealed for Tekken 7's season 2, both returning favourites.

The first is Anna Williams, Nina's sister who serves as Kazuya Mishima's bodyguard. Anna appeared in various Tekken games in the past, and she looks better than ever.

Then we have Lei Wulong, who brings back his various, animal-based fighting styles. Tiger, Crane, Leopard, Snake, and Dragon are Wulong's different stances, all of which can be seen in the trailer. Wulong is another classic Tekken character, inspired by Jackie Chan.

No release date for the start of the new season was provided.
