Castlevania season 2 trailer shows off bloody monster-fighting action
Netflix's second Castlevania season raises the stakes (and whips) as Alucard joins the fight against Dracula.
The first season of Netflix's Castlevania anime series was all kinds of wonderful, and the follow-up is looking to be bigger and better. Now there's an official Season 2 trailer providing visual confirmation of what we have to look forward to.
In the first season Dracula declared war on Wallachia after the Church murdered his wife, who happened to be his last connection to humanity. In Season 2, the vampire lord decides Wallachia isn't enough, and plots to wipe out every human on Earth. In response, Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades team-up with Dracula's son Alucard to stop these rampaging monsters before it's too late.
The trailer briefly introduces Dracula's generals, who will likely be antagonists for individual episode. Otherwise, the series looks like it'll be a bloody gore-fest combining anime action and vampiric horror.
Netflix's new Castlevania season will be written by Warren Ellis and produced by Adi Shankar. It launches on October 26, 2018.
