Kingdom Come Deliverance's first DLC turns game into a village management sim
Kingdom Come: Deliverance - From The Ashes is out now, mixing standard RPG quests with the objective of managing a village.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance has been out for a few months, and with over a million sales, it's safe to say it found its audience. But the premium DLC expansions could draw in fans of other genres - including city sim players.
From The Ashes is Deliverance's first DLC, which launched today across all platforms. In this adventure, you are the bailiff of a new settlement, responsible for erecting buildings and settling disputes between villagers. Players must choose which structures to build and upgrade, including taverns, combat arenas, and more. You'll need to account for material and workforce costs along the way, and various NPCs from the main story campaign can be hired to assist with development.
Deliverance's RPG quest gameplay still seems to be intact, but it takes the form of settling villager disputes or figuring out what to do with your nights off. Leisure activities include riding horses from stables, playing dice at taverns, or fighting in the combat arena.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance - From The Ashes is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
